PROCESSING OCEANOGRAPHIC STATION DATA USING RAPID DATA-HANDLING EQUIPMENT

Abstract

A procedure was developed for processing oceanographic station data utilizing automatic data processing equipment. This procedure offers the advantage of rapid automatic processing through standard steps, with individual attention through steps which require a degree of professional judgment. The output of this processing system includes station profile plots, isometric section charts, and statistical variations computed in time and space. (Author)
