PRECOOKED DEHYDRATED MEALS FOR AIR FORCE CONDITIONS

Abstract

A set of meals for personnel on medium-duration flights has been developed. These meals consist of compatible, precooked, dehydrated, readily rehydratable food items. They are packaged, along with the necessary water to prepare them, in a specially developed light-weight container in which the food can be prepared and from which it can be eaten. The meals can be warmed to serving temperature by a distinctive heating device developed for the purpose.
