MATERIAL - GLASS CLOTH REINFORCED PLASTICS - ROOM AND ELEVATED TEMPERATURE - PROPERTIES OF

Abstract

The compression properties for twelve different fiberglass (181, 183, 120 and 143 styles) reinforced resin combinations, epoxy (Epon 828), polyester (Laminac 4232) and phenolic (Conolon 506) were obtained for the purpose of providing data for the determination of design allowables. Testing was done at room and higher temperatures and under wet conditions. The tests were performed at various angle orientations to the direction of the warp. Other mechanical properties of these material composites were reported earlier.
