APPLICATION OF RESEARCH ON PROGRAMED INSTRUCTION TO SCHOOL SYSTEMS

Abstract

The argument is presented that a better impedance match between laboratory and school would be made if one took a wider view of the media through which programing principles are implemented. Research reports should allow the educational decision-maker to take action on the basis of these reports. CLASS (Computer-Based Laboratory for Automated School Systems), an experimental facility developed at SDC as an approach to designing a sequence of steps leading from research on programing to its practical application in schools, is discussed.
