EVALUATION OF THE COLLINS INTEGRATED FLIGHT SYSTEM, FD-105C

Abstract

Several types of integrated instrument systems were evaluated. It was concluded that an integrated instrument system was superior to present standard Army flight and navigational systems. It was recommended that the FD-105 be considered suitable for Army use in command, cargo, and medium and heavy observation airplanes, and that immediate action be taken to program the FD-105 into the AO-1 electronic configuration.
