Heterogeneous Combustion in a System Containing Condensed Components

Abstract

This investigation was devoted to a study of the propagation of a flame along a plane and a cylindrical surface of contact of a number of solid inorganic oxidizing agents incapable of burning in their pure form (KClO4, KClO3, KMnO4, BaO2) and solid fuels: polymethyl methacrylate (Plexiglas), pol ethylene, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride (vinyplast), and others. The tests were conducted in N at the pressures from 0 to 100 atm (gage).
