LIGHT SCATTERING BY PARTIALLY ABSORBING CYLINDERS. COEFFICIENTS

Abstract

A table of the complex scattering coefficients is presented for the problem of scattering of normally incident, linearly polarized, plane electromagnetic waves by partially absorbing infinite circular cylinders. The numerical results were obtained by means of the IBM 7090 computer system at the U. S. N AVAL Ordnance Laboratory. This table contains the scattering coefficients for the incident plane wave polarized parallel to the cylinder axis and also those for the incident plane wave polarized perpendicular to the cylinder axis.
