EXPERIENCE IN THE CALCULATION OF PLANE AND AXIALLY SYMMETRIC SUPERSONIC GAS FLOWS BY THE METHOD OF CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract

The method of characteristics used for the olution of hyperbolic partial differential equations is applied to the calculation of plane and axially symmetric supersonic gas flows by the method of characteristics. Computer programs adapted for these calculations are described.
