ELECTRIC-ARC PREHEATERS FOR FORMATION OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE JETS

Abstract

Methods of raising arc temperature, specifications set forth for electric-arc preheaters, schematic diagrams of the apparatus existing at the present time (according to literature data), factors limiting elevation of the jet parameters, problems of plasma contamination and electrode attrition, and methods of determining the parameters of electric-arc preheaters are given.
