ONE ASYMPTOTIC LAW IN THE THEORY OF NEUTRON MODERATION

Abstract

An examination is made of the problem of the energy-time distribution of neutrons in a homogeneous moderator which fills an entire space whose nuclei are stationary and have mass M (the mass of a neutron is taken as unity). The state of a neutron is defined by assigning the point (u, t), where t is time, and u i the le hargy of the neutron; (u, t) D, D = (u, t) u > O, t > O . It is assu ed that neutrons can be captured and scattered by the nuclei of the moderator; scattering s elastic and isotropic in the center-of-mass system of t e neutron and nucleu . (Author)
