Effort was continued to develop an efficient and practical solid state transmission link (electrical power switching system) that will have positive advantages over the conventional electromechanical transmission links used in present-day aircraft. Primary emphasis was on reliability and long life Presented are the general specification for the solid state system, the extent of advantage of a solid state transmission link, and a detailed work plan.
