PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR SUBMINIATURE TEMPERATURE-COMPENSATING CERAMIC CAPACITORS

Abstract

Efforts were coninued on the production engineering measure for subminiature temperaturecompensating ceramic capacitors. Efforts toward achieving Characteristic CF are continuing. Progress was made in developing spraying capability with a slip made of the N1400 formulation and the preferred binder system. Sastisfactory dipping slips made with the preferred binder system were achieved for the NPO and N750 formulations. Some progress was made in producing a satisfactory slip of the N1400 formulation and the alternate binder system. Test results from qualification testing of Group V of Case Size I units of the N1400 formulation are satisfactory. Test results from qualification testing of Case Size II units of the N1400 formulation are satisfactory to date. The cracking and strip delamination difficulties were overcome. N750 material was selected for use in the pilot run of Case Size I units. (Author)
