THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH CURRENT AND HIGH VOLTAGE SILICON CONTROLLED RECTIFIERS

Abstract

Research concerns the development of highcurrent and high-voltage silicon controlled rectifiers. Design consideration and approaches to the various problems are discussed. WITH RESPECT TO DEVICE B, junction assembly components were designed and procured for the inl (state-of-the-art) design samples. Geometry and contour of the junction structure were selected. Fixtures, tools and jigs were also designed and made. small quantities of intial design samples were made to check-out assebly components and tooling. This check-out is progressing satisfatorily. The phase of optimization of design parameters began on scheule. (Author)
