THE PERFORMANCE OF A GM COUNTER IN THE 200A REGION

Abstract

This invesigaion was undertaken to see if a GM counter coud be made to operate at the longer wavelengths 9about 200A); and if so, to determine if the counting rate was due primarily to photoelectrons ejected as a result of the absorption of incident photons and not due to extraneous effects.
