DESCRIPTORS: *Signals, *Colored flares, Rocket fares, Parachutes, Tests, Illuminat ing projectiles, Velocity, Pyrotechnics, Strs. Identifiers: M144 signals, M145 ignals, M146 signals. Supplemental tess of the signal, illumination, ground, star, paachute, indicate that the functioning deficiencies were corrected, although some signals faled to reach the requred altitude. As the altitude of function s not considered a ajor deficiency, it is recomended that the star parachute series, XM144, XM145, and XM146, be released for service test prior to conducting the desert and arctic environmental tests.
