A METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCES AND DEGREE OF MISMATCH OF TWO-TERMINAL PAIR NETWORKS

Abstract

Methods are known for determining the characterisic impedances and degree of mismatch of 2terminl pair networks by using alanced and unbalanced bridges. These methods do not provide sufficiently high measurement acuracy of the charcterstic impedances of 2-terminal pair networks and matching of 2-terminal pair networks in themselves and with the cicuts in which they are connected. In the method described, this drawback is eliminated by the fact that the degrees of mismatch are determined by the difference between the phase shifts obtained when connecting the 2-terminal par network and its load in parallel with the load of the cathode follower. The chaacteristic impedance is deterined by the impedance of the load of the 2-teminal pair network at whch there is no difference between the phase shifts. (Author)
