DETERMINATION OF PARTICLE SIZE DISTRIBUTIONS FOR ACRYLATE LATICES

Abstract

Mass and number particle size distribution curves were determined for various acrylate-amide latices using a new simple fractional creaming method. Different particle size distributions were found for the latices polymerized by the Army Prosthetics Research Laboratory and the Borden Chemical Company. Particle size analyses can now be run routinely using this new method. (Author)
