CRYSTAL FILTER TEST SET
Abstract
A crystal filter test set capable of testing crystal filters in the 4.5- to 200-mc frequency range is described. The test set is housed in a metal cabinet and contains two tuned wide-band rf amplifiers, a built-in image impedance matching system, and an untuned wide-band (100 kc to 55 mc) compressed gain amplifier. The output of the compressed gain amplifier is a dc voltage proportional to the ac input voltage and compression rate. Compression rate is logarithmic within certain limits. The necessary additional instrumentation is briefly described and testing techniques are outlined. (Author)
