STORM SUDDEN COMMENCEMENTS AND INCONSPICUOUS UNIVERSAL TIME VARIATIONS

Abstract

A number of very small Forbush decreases (F.d:s) have been traced in the records from the Swedish Cosmic ray stations. Many of these F.d:s are associated with storm sudden commencements (s.s.c:s) which appear to have been regarded as doubtful as they have not been included in the monthly reports from Goettingen. A chapter is added on F.d:s associated with s.s.c:s also reported as sudden impulses by some stations. Some implications of concealed universal time variations are discussed. (Author)
