AN APPROXIMATE THEORY FOR THE DESIGN AND OPERATION OF A TRAPEZOIDAL CROSS-SECTION FLUX CONCENTRATOR

Abstract

A simple theory describing the operation of a pulsed magnet coil known as the Flux Concentrtor is presented. Based on elementary circuit theory it is compared to data obtained from an experimental model. Maximum field strength is shown to be predicable to 10-20%, s lso are the field geomery and important circit parameters. 9author)
