SOLAR AND LUNAR TIDES IN THE DRIFT OF THE E REGION

Abstract

By systematic statistical treatment of a ar e number of observations standard seasonal drift diagrams for the E re ion are obtained. Individual groups of days are compared with the standards and this is done for he prevailing component as well as the 12 h rotational component. In this way it could be stated that the declinations of sun and moon have an importantAND RATHER SIMILAR INFLUENCE ON BOTH COMPONENTS. (Author)
