ON THE INFLUENCE OF THE IONOSPHERE ON THE RADIOTRACKING OF SPACE ROCKETS

Abstract

The report contains some considerations relating to the possibility of calculating the errors caused by the ionosphere at the radiotracking, i.e. during the determination of space vehicle co-ordinates and velocties by radiomethods. Expressions are given for these errors depending on the ionosphere parameters. The possibility is di cussed of the approximation of the actal altitude electron density distributions for the estimation of the errors under consideraion. (utho)
