FERRITE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

An investigation was made of the effects of small changes of the Fe2O3 ratio upon mu sub zero, Q and the performance of mu sub zero between -65 and 150C for ZnO ratios of 18 and 19 mol-%. The performance of material containing 52.75 mol-% Fe2O3 with 18 mol-% ZnO was superior. Fiftythree mol-% Fe2O3 gave better results than 50 or 56 mol-% Fe2O3 in Mn-Zn ferrites. The procedure of using a 100 calcine with triple wet-milling gave more temperature-stable materials in the 2-12 mc range.
