ACCELEROMETER SENSITIVITY TO DYNAMIC PRESSURE PULSES

Abstract

IT IS NECESSARY TO KNOW THE RESPONSE TO A DYNAMIC PRESSURE INPUT WHEN USING ACCELEROMETERS IN PRESSURE FIELDS. In order to evaluate this effect, several different manufacturers' accelerometers were subjected to pressure pulses varying from approximately 20 psi to approximately 150 psi. The report shows the experimental equipment and presents the data obtained, showing comparisons between various accelerometers. (Author)
