DIRECT OBSERVATION OF CORRELATION BETWEEN AURORAE AND HISS IN GREENLAND

Abstract

In Godhavn, Greenland, simultaneous visual observation of aurorae and listening to 8 kc hiss was made during January and February 1961. During these observations a close correlation was found between the instantaneous strength of the hiss and the activity as well as the intensity of the aurorae. (Author)
