BRL TIME-OF-ARRIVAL BLAST GAGE

Abstract

Principles and constructional details are given for a piezoelectric time-of-arrival blast gage. Using these gages in pairs to measure shock arrival times, peak blast overpressure of the shock front can be inferred from a velocity measurement by means of the Rankine-Hugoniot equation. (Author)
