EXPERIMENTAL TRAINING OF SONARMEN IN THE USE OF ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT. II. EXPERIMENTAL TRAINING MATERIALS

Abstract

IN July of 1960 this Activity undertook the development of an experimental training program aimed at enhancing the proficiency of sonar school graduates in the use of electronic test equipments. This report contains copies of all the training materials which were developed for use in the experimental program. These materials are designed for use in teaching basic applications of the Volt-Ohm-Milliameter (PSM-4 or Simpson 260), Oscilloscope (OS-8C/U), and Tube Tester (TV-3B/U or -10/U). These materials represent a complete package which can be used by other Naval Commands that are engaged in training personnel in the basic uses of these specific test equipments, or the general concepts involved can be incorporated into training materials for use in training courses involving other test equipments.
