TERMINAL AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL. A LABORATORY MODEL FOR MAN-MACHINE SYSTEM RESEARCH

Abstract

A laboratory model of a Terminal Air Traffic Control System was designed to be used as a vehicle for research in man-machine systems. The initial configuration of this system was described together with measures which were developed to test its response characteristics. Plans for comparing the performance of the live system with and without an analytical scheduling and routing model were discussed. (Author)
