SUBMINIATURE, MULTILAYER, PRECISION CERAMIC CAPACITORS

Abstract

Experimental work with fine, jet milled ceramic materials and the improvements gained by the use of fine materials is described. Feasibility was established for the fabrication of multilayer, thin film Cerafil capacitors which exhibit an increase in capacitance of about 7.5 times as compared to standard 100 volt rated Cerafil capacitors of similar size. Voltage ratings for the new capacitor types were established by life testing at 30 vdc for temperatures to +85 C. and at 20 vdc to +125 C. (Author)
