JOURNAL OF CHAIN CRUISE =19, JUNE-JULY 1961

Abstract

A journal of CHAIN Cruise 19 is presented. Included are a summary of data, summary track charts, and the cruise plan. This was a cruise to the Puerto Rico Trench between 13 June and 7 July 1961. The scientific program inluded a short study (40-50 miles) south of Bermuda and an intensive study of the north wll of the Puerto Rico Trench. The scientific program included echo sounding, dredging, continuous seismic profiling (reflection) and bottom photography and heat flow measurements. (Author)
