AXISYMMETRIC TURBULENT BOUNDARY-LAYER FLOW DETERMINED WITH ONLY BODY GEOMETRY KNOWN

Abstract

Semi-empirical boundary-layer equations for turbulent flow are developed and applied, using an exact solution of the Neumann problem of an approximate body in axial symmetric flow to find the turbulent boundary-layer characteristics on the after portion of the body. The only quantity needed to apply this method is knowledge of the body geometry. (Author)
