AMC CLIMATOLOGICAL RINGBOOK. PART XXVII. EMPIRICAL FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS OF WIND COMPONENTS AT CONSTANT ALTITUDE LEVELS, SILVERHILL, MARYLAND

Abstract

Climatological parameters of scalar winds, zonal and meridional wind components, semiplanar winds and wind shear at 1 km altitude intervals for Silverhill, Maryland are presented. The frequency distributions have been established for the twelve monthly and the annual reference periods with values of cumulative percentage frequency corresponding to the mean and plus and minus one, two and three sigma levels of normal distribution. The statistical information is based on the observational period 1951 - 1957. (Author)
