CYLINDRICAL SHEAR SPECIMEN FOR QUALITY CONTROL TEST ON GLUE BONDS IN LAMINATED TIMBERS

Abstract

The quality of the glue joints in laminated beams was evaluted by removing round pugs (with their axes perpendicular to the glue lines) from noncritical areas of the beams and testing them in shear. A standard block shear tool was modified to facilitate testing glue joints in round plugs. (Author)
