TEMPERATURE CHANGE WITH ELEVATION IN BURMA

Abstract

A study was made of temperature conditions and the relationship of temperature to elevation along two profiles across the Shan escarpment and in the western Shan mountains. ata were obtained from temporary weather stations and from Burma Government permanent stations. Data were analyzed for mean and absolute maximum and minimum temperatures, lapse rates, temperature ranges and seasonal fluctuations.
