REMOTE HANDLING TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT INVESTIGATION

Abstract

This Phase I report is the result of an extensive search of existing technical literature plus personal and letter contacts of many of the major remote handling equipment suppliers throughout the United States. The report presents a general description of the types of remote handling equipment in existence, illustrations and specifications of standard manipulators available, lists of remote handling equipment manufacturers throughout the world and a comprehensive bibliography of available literature. Technological progress and advanced developmental concepts in the field of remote manipulation are also presented. (Author)
