ANISOTROPIC EXCHANGE IN K3FE(CN)6

Abstract

A phenomenological analysis of anisotropic exchange by means of the Bloch equations indicates that odd harmonics of the driving frequency should appear in the resonance signal. A Fourier analysis is performed to evaluate the strength of the harmonics relative to the fundamental as a function of the intensity of the driving field. Very preliminary measurements with K3Fe(CN)6 indicate that liquid helium temperatures would be required for the observations. (Author)
