RF Component Development for the Dicon System.
Abstract
Described are new RF circuit developments, including a band-pass filter with a trimmingcondenser arrangement that greatly facilitates alignment, an RF DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER, AND VARIOUS DESIGNS FOR WIDE-BAND RF hybrid-junction and balanced-mixer circuits. The design of a wide-band, electrostatically shielded toroidal transformer is also reported, with special emphasis on it application in the development of hybrid-junction and balanced-mixer circuits. Finally, the mechanical arrangement for combining the modular circuits in the DICON ystem is outlined. (Author)
