SUMMARY OF INVESTIGATIONS OF HEAT-WAVE EFFECTS ON PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES

Abstract

A compreensive report of a year's data, taken from a special range established at NOTS for study of heat wave problems, is presented. The data include micrometeorological information as well as optical and photographic results obtained at frequent time intervals at various di tancesAND FROM SEVERAL CAMERA ELEVATIONS. As a result of multiple correlation analyses of these data three experiments were conducted. Results of these experiments, which demonstrate that it is possible to odify the heat wave problem by application of various ground cover materials, are also presented.
