THE SYNTHESIS OF NON-COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE ORGANIC CHEMICALS
Abstract
The following compounds were prepared: (1) methyl beta-nap thyl carbonate; (2) 3-betagranatanol; (3) 3-alpha-granatanol; (4) tropine: (5) pseudotropine: (6) 1-hydroxypyrrolizidine: (7) 3-ketoquinolizidine: (8) 3-oxo-1azabicyclo(3.3.1)nonane: (9) 2-keto-octahydropyrrocoline: (10) 2-ketoquinolizidine: (11) 1-ketopyrrolizi ine; and (12) 8-keto-octahydropyrrocoline. Progre s toward the synthesis of the following compounds is also reported: (1) 2-ketopyrrolizidine; (2) 7-keto-octahydropyrrocoline; and (3) ethyl 3-pyrrolidinecarboxylate. (Author)
