PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR A PHASE II SUPER POWER HYDROGEN THYRATRON TUBE.

Abstract

A satisfactory solution was found for the construction and method of assembly of the anode and control grid cooling jackets. Designs of a planar cathode which has circular vanes, an O.D. of 4 1/4 inches, and a coated surface area of 550 square centimeters, and of a hydrogen reservoir were finished. No essential changes were made in the other electrode assemblies or in the method of assembly of the tube. The construction of three tubes was initiated. (Author)
