Molybdenum Sheet Rolling Program.

Abstract

Two eight inch diameter Mo+0.5%Ti ingots for Phase III production were melted, extruded, and prepared as forging billets. The billet have been hot forged to sheet bar. TZM billets for Phase ii have been hot forged and applied to the rolling schedules. bend tran iti n te t results on recrystallized mo+0.5%Ti and TZ sheet are presented. Short transverse tensile test results from Boeing on Mo =0.5 5ti containing 25 to 96 percent cold work are included. Annealing time-temperature curves have been constructed for TZM, Mo+0.5%Ti, and unalloyed molybdenum. (Author)
