PILOT PRODUCTION AND EVALUATION OF TANTALUM ALLOY SHEET

Abstract

Additional information is presented regarding tensile properties, recrystallization behavior, weld bend ductility and stress rupture properties for the base composition, Ta-8W-2Hf, designatedAS T-111. Melting and processing data for interstitial-containing T-111 alloy heats are presented. The melting, processing, and tensile properties of T-111 alloy modified with respect to W and Hf content are also given. Work on other Ta-base alloys is presented. (Author)
