HIGH FREQUENCY DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The development of special modulation, demodulation, digital coding, and control equipment for a high-frequency digital communication system that provides highly reliable operation under adverse conditions of multipath propagation and Doppler shift is discussed. Technical information describes the design and operation of circuits required for service-test model. Schematic diagrams of these circuits are included. The system was given a complete checkout using an ARC-58 transceiver as the transmitter for the ground station equipment and an ARC-65 transceiver as both receiver and transmitter for the airborne station equipment.
