RESEARCH INVESTIGATION IN CONTROL SYSTEMS

Abstract

Abstracts of 5 reports in the field of control systems theory are given. These are: (1) a class of nonlinear, inertial and random plants which satisfy certain optimizability conditions; (2) the optimal time problem solution which is extended to time-varying plants with r inputs and m outputs; (3) a method for obtaining the order of the system characteristic equation from observation of input-output data; (4) techniques for interrelating the inputs to two separate dynamic systems when it is required that the output of each satisfy a functional relationship; and (5) a unified theory for the time-opimal control of general, linear, not necessarily normal plants, with generalized constraints on the control variable.
