ORGANIC COATINGS AND MATERIALS, SKYDROL 500 HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANCE OF

Abstract

The resi tance of various organic materials to Skydrol 500 hydraulic fluid im ersion was investigated. Th Andr w Brown Company's epoxy primer and enamel, after 48 hr ir cure, had the best Skydrol 500 ydraulic fluid r sist nc of the m terials tested. The Skydrol 500 hydraulic fluid resistance of some of the other organic materials was improved by overcoating with an poxy enamel topcoat. Significant improvement was obtained only on hose materi ls which had some initi l resista ce to Skydrol 500 hydraulic fluid. Author)
