ELECTROHYDRAULIC EFFECT AND ITS APPLICATION IN MINING

Abstract

The electrohydraulic effect - a phenomenon originating during electric piercing of a liquid with a high voltage pulsed discharge, having a circular front and short life span (duration). Transformation of electric energy into mechanical is realized without the aid of any special devices and with sufficiently high efficiency. It appears to be a technical method of obtaining high and ultrahigh hydraulic pressures and can be well utilized in various fields of science and technology. (Author)
