Abstract
The purpose of this report is to study a simple area preserving transformation of the plane into itself, X = y + x2 squared, Y = -x + X2 squared, to obtain some specific information about periodic points and their stability, invariant curves, etc. It is the hope that such an investigation will lead to criteria for transitivity and other new results in this field.
