ON THE ORIGIN OF DEFORMATION BANDS

Abstract

Though deformation bands have been investigated for many years their origin is not yet well understood. The purpose of the present work was to develop and apply techniques for the study of the relation between accidental bendings and the nucleation of deformation bands.
