THE ELECTRICAL BEHAVIOR OF REFRACTORY OXIDES

Abstract

The broad ob ective of this project is to gain a mechanistic understanding of the electrical propertie of various metal oxides. Both pure zirconia and zirconia stabilized with calcia are being studied. The electrical behavior in the n ighborhoo of the monoclinic-tetragonal transformation is of particular interest. Work was initiated to i ves ig e the i fluence of c ion-cation interaction on electrical conductivity in chromia-alumina solid solutio s. (Author)
