THE EQUATIONS OF CONSERVATION FOR MULTICOMPONENT REACTING GAS FLOWS

Abstract

The derivation of the conservation equations for multicomponent gas flows is discussed briefly from the point of view of classical kinetic theory and in somewhat greater detail within the principles of continuum theory. The chief objective is to clarify certain points regarding the diffusion stress tensor which has been introduced elsewhere. (Author)
